Founded in 1922 by Nat Fleischer, The Ring is one of boxing's most iconic publications, known as "The Bible of Boxing." The magazine played a crucial role in popularizing the sport by establishing independent fighter rankings and introducing the prestigious Ring Magazine Championship Belt, awarded to lineal champions.
Over the years, The Ring has covered historic fights featuring legends like Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson, and Sugar Ray Leonard, offering in-depth analysis, interviews, and striking photos. Today, the magazine remains relevant through both digital and print editions, adapting to the evolving demands of its audience.
The Ring Magazine returns to the spotlight with a rebranding that celebrates the magazine's 102-year history. To tell a bit of this story, we explored a collection of 1,230 issues, over 10,000 fights, 5,000 knockouts, and, most importantly, a lot of craft, blending digital techniques such as illustration, animation, and collages, further expanding the brand's visual system.
